DevLog #01: Level Design Art and Main Menu Update


Hello guys it's Nova! The Game Director and Lead Developer here to bring you huge news and some significant changes to my indie game project Soulclef ! 

Level Design Updates:

The game will now have a updated look to it with brand new assets that more closely align with the vision of the first world/level being Soul Valley. Soul Valley is known for its winding trees to house souls! The design took me a few days to work on and to color and texture and ultimately they came out better than i could've imagined. I also made updates to the shrine area and new ground tile assets that you will see throughout this part of the game, still taking from what I liked about the previous tiles into the new ones with the skull carvings on the rocks!

Main Menu Updates:

The main menu has been updated as well. I added more navigations for the arrow keys for the game to better register when the player is using the arrow keys instead of the mouse pointer! I also made sure to add what will eventually be the completed background, but is for now just the prototype animation.
