DevLog #01 & #02: Player UI & Level Design Update

Devlog #1 for my collaborative side project "The Resident". I created a Heart BPM Display for the player health! This is a horror game so what better way to keep track of the player than to add their heart beat into the environment. This will be used down the line for when the player has to sneak around the hospital. If enemies are nearby the player's heart bpm will increase causing the Image to speed up and change the color from blue to orange indicating that an enemy is close by.

The reason I decided to go this route for a player health was to stay with the theme of being in a hospital and the player being in purgatory. What better way to show the player's health than to use a heart bpm display. Plus its pretty ironic since the player is technically not alive.

Devlog #2 for my collaborative side project "The Resident". From the level layout diagram LilMoon created I went to work on designing the level layout within the game engine. There were some complications with the implementation of some of the FAB assets. So I had to go into the materials to correct the visuals and go from there.
