DevLog #03: Urga Hospital Level Design Update 2

Devlog #3 for my collaborative side project "The Resident". I finally finished the base level design layout from the design layout that LilMoon provided! I also made sure to add some lights to help the player see within the environment and also blood splatters to help set the mood and tone that this is a very dangerous place. That's not all the blood splatters serve as a key directional tool to help players navigate where to go for the next key moment that will take place in the game. Be it collecting a special item or a short dialogue revealing more of the story to the player.
Also I added post processing as well giving the game the feel that the player is being view through a grainy camera lense! I did this because personally I think scary games are more immersive when played from first person view. After working more on some of the special effects I can start to implement some game mechanics that I have designed and planned out! There will definitely be an interaction system the player will have in order to obtain items and open/close doors later in development. Also the idea of the player being able to hide or crouch away from enemy's view has been an idea as well, but we will see in the future updates!
